Create a Note
Saro allows you to create clinical notes by voice dictation only.
Steps to Create
From the Activity Feed
- From the Home tab, tap + (FAB) → Add a Note
- Select the patient (or create a new record)
- Choose the note type
From a Patient Record
- Open the patient's record
- Go to the Notes tab
- Tap + to add a note
- Choose the note type
Available Note Types

| Follow-up | Clinical follow-up note |
| Infiltration | Infiltration note |
| Phone Follow-up | Follow-up done by phone |
| Intake (PEC) | New patient intake note |
| Psychiatric | Psychiatric note |
| Resuscitation | Resuscitation note |

The note type cannot be changed once the note is created. Choose the correct type before starting dictation.
Voice Dictation
- Tap the microphone button to start recording
- Dictate your observations, history, and conclusions
- Tap Stop when you are done
- The AI generates the note in the background (see Async Tasks)
- Once the note is generated, review and edit as needed
- Tap Save

Speak naturally. You don't need special terminology — Saro understands everyday medical language in French and English.
Editing an Existing Note
Once the note is generated, you can modify its content in two ways:
- By voice: tap the microphone button to dictate additional content. The AI will append the new content to the existing note.
- Manually: edit the text directly in the note field.
