Billing

Video guideManage billingWatch on Loom

Billing is prepared in two places: inside each patient record for billable acts, then in the main Billing section for the shift report.

Patient billing

Open the patient record's Billing tab. You can:

  • enter a short diagnosis;
  • add one or more visits;
  • add codes manually or from the available catalog;
  • specify Day, Evening, or Night and the time;
  • remove a visit or clear all patient billing.

Changes are saved automatically. If a code remains typed but has not been added to a visit when you leave, Saro offers to add and save it.

Catalog availability depends on the code type selected under Profile → Preferences. Warnings may appear when a code has an age condition and the patient's date of birth is missing or incompatible.

Find patients to bill

The To bill card appears on Home and in Billing. Click a patient to open their Billing tab directly.

Shift memo and attachments

Open Billing from the main navigation. Use the memo for general information about the day, such as on-call hours, resident or trainee details, special packages, and other useful notes.

You can attach images or PDFs. The memo and files are automatically saved for the active shift and included in the report.

Generate the PDF report

  1. Confirm that the correct shift is active.
  2. Review patient billing, the memo, and attachments.
  3. Wait until the saved indicator is current.
  4. Click Generate report.
  5. In the preview, print or download the PDF.

The report summarizes patients and their billing information for the active shift.
